This is the introduction to an e-mail newsletter that I have embarked upon. I am sending it to those people who have asked me either in person or online to mail it to them. There is a mailing list of just over three hundred who will receive this first edition. Because of the rules governing unsolicited e-mail I have to rely on you to distribute it to anyone you feel might enjoy reading it. I would like to see it grow to ten times this number quickly. That can only happen if you find something worthwhile in this and feel it is worthy of being passed on to your family and friends.

Please help me by sending it to anyone that might want to be included in the mailing. The newsletter is free and will be sent out each month. Anyone, including yourself who wishes to receive this monthly free newsletter must reply with subscribe in the subject box or someplace in the e-mail.

I will not send any past this first edition without a reply to continue mailing it. Thank you for your help in getting it distributed. This will come in e-mail format without the need to download it. Some may not be able to view the graphics properly. I apologize for that and ask you to give me time to work out the bugs. If you have a talent in preparing newsletters or web sites, editing or anything that will make this better, please let me know if you are willing to help.

Several years ago I was offered an opportunity to write a monthly column for an electronic poetry site. At the time I was inspired by many things and embarked on a series of essays related to creative writing. The original column was a crash course in Thinking 101.

That humble beginning written from a layman's point of view was the chrysalis of this new project. This isn't a newsletter for writers only. It's for anyone who believes that information and learning are positive things. It's a chance to share my growth in being human. It is also me judice: I being the judge; in my opinion.

Mission Statement: It's the intent of the author to give someone - something interesting to think about. In no way will this be a place where critical thinking and elite intellectualism stack dominos for academia to knock down. It also isn't a place where any one philosophy reigns as ruler above all. It is a place to consider an open and growing opinion. My life is faith based and as such, much of what I say and think have foundations as a follower of Jesus Christ.

I also state without shame that my rejection of formal church denominations and much that has and is represented by Christianity will also show through. My learning has only begun to show the horrors that most religions have brought upon humanity. Countless negative things have been done in the name of Christianity. I hold them responsible and will not hesitate to expose their errors when I encounter them. Though early issues may be heavy in the examination of spiritual beliefs, others will investigate varied areas of life and thought. Stick with me and don't close the door to what is said.

This is a place where I can exercise my free speech and you can choose to listen or delete. There's an interesting document in The United States Of America that gives us both that right at least for the time being. Historical Documents:THE BILL OF RIGHTS.

If at any time you're offended or take a different point of view; you have the option of letting me know not to send you the newsletter. My preference would be that you just take what you can and keep an open mind. I don't have sponsors and wont allow myself to be cautious of political correctness. I also won't sit back and be silent about issues that seem very important to me. I personally think the clock for humanity is ticking toward the midnight hour of huge earthly changes. I won't sit back and not share what yearns to be said within me. I have pondered this long and hard and choose to speak on what I feel is important.

Are all opinions expressed in this newsletter absolutely correct? No more so than as with any other writings. By all means do your own research, look up the references, draw your own conclusions. Work out your own salvation. Study the facts for yourself. We are all more than mindless robots. I call on everyone who reads this to gather all the wisdom you can.

I ask that you don't just listen to the fairy tales of mass media without questioning them. They are like Snow White's poison apples putting people into a deep trance of mental sleep. They are not just random news reports. There is an agenda that is tucked ever so subtly behind the major breaking news stories of the day. Wake up, we all have work to do within ourselves! Others have plans for your life that may not be what you want. Don't stop reading here and write me off as a conspiracy nut or worse. Stay with me for a strange and sometimes startling journey. It's going to be a trip that most wont want to miss.

Though feedback and opinions are welcome, I most likely wont get into long dialogs with those who's views differ from what is presented. Meanwhile your e-mail is welcome. I have conversations with people all over the world and receive a lot of insight from many places. People have helped me learn to be hungry for more knowledge. I want to gather all that I can in order to grow and to share more. Write and tell me what you think.

The reality is however, that I didn't start this as a Democratic forum. A Democracy requires the majority of the people to decide for all of the people. I'm not that big on having my individual say decided by most of the people. I'm not a Socialist, Communist, Democrat, Republican or any other group with a label that keeps my voice inside a particular box. No one has a vote in what I put into this newsletter. I will not be offended if you ask me to stop sending it to you. I will ask anyone who has things to contribute either in knowledge or talent to offer them please.

It's my hope that an open mind will allow some of what is said to find a place of pondering. In all honesty I expect to have some people get their panties in a bunch right from the starting gate. Without sounding mean spirited, I wont miss them. I wish them the best and hold no grudges. I probably wont only step on some toes but will grind them into fine powder. There's plenty that is being written that is already grinding me, so it shouldn't be too surprising that I will speak my mind.

It's my intention to use this newsletter as a launching pad for a book in the future. In the manner that I've decided to present thoughts, I am able to write in sections and not be overwhelmed to finish. If I didn't believe there will be some wonderful things for each reader I wouldn't have begun this project. It takes a lot of time to research, compile information and write. There will be times when guest writers will make contributions. I hope that this will be a place for others to gather resources and find things that contribute to all of our growth.

I am going to initially try and keep it organized into three sections. The sections will be broken down by three uses of fire which is quite an interesting subject in itself. The sections will be Illumination..warmth..and purification.

I will be using the illumination part to send some of what crosses my mind. Warmth will consist mostly of either poetry or stories that inspire. Purification will be a place where web sites, books, and other information will be made available. I use the last section of purification because I believe by reading and learning we burn away our ignorance.
